Bacopa Monnieri Platinum is a striking aquatic plant known for its unique, silvery-green foliage that adds a touch of elegance to any aquarium. Originating from various parts of the world, including Asia, Africa, and the Americas, this plant is a cultivated variety of the commonly known water hyssop. Its compact, bushy growth and small, rounded leaves make it an excellent choice for both beginner and experienced aquarists looking to enhance their aquascapes with a rare and visually appealing plant.

Bacopa Monnieri Platinum thrives in a range of conditions but shows its best coloration under medium to high lighting. It prefers nutrient-rich substrates and benefits from regular CO2 supplementation and liquid fertilizers to maintain its vibrant, platinum sheen. This plant can tolerate a wide range of water parameters, making it versatile and adaptable in various aquarium setups. Regular pruning is essential to promote bushier growth and prevent the lower parts of the stems from becoming leggy.

In aquascaping, Bacopa Monnieri Platinum can be used in both midground and background areas of the tank, providing a stunning contrast against darker green plants and hardscape elements. Its silvery leaves create a shimmering effect that catches the eye and adds depth to the overall layout. Additionally, its moderate growth rate allows it to be easily shaped and maintained, making it a practical and attractive choice for planted tanks.

Currently, we distribute the Bacopa Monnieri Platinum via Sreepadma's GroWoW! series tissue cultures.
