Beautiful Spider wood in a tank, that is being lit by a WEEK AQUA M Series high end aquarium light.

Which WEEK AQUA light do I choose for my aquascape?

Allen Ortega

WEEK AQUA Lights are relatively new lights in the US market. Thus, there is not much information. However, as time passes, more and more information is becoming available.

General Specifications
According to these (March 2024) lights, here are the specs and everything about them.

S series
The WEEK AQUA S series is the one of the smaller models. Therefore, we believe S means "small". This light contains one of the smallest widths of the light series. These are ideal for smaller aquariums.

S300 Pro
Power: 25W
Spectrum: RGB+UV
LED Quantity: 30+10
Output Voltage: 36V 1A
Voltage: AC100-240V
Luminous Flux: 1500lm

M series
Following along with the pattern as the S, we believe the M signifies 'medium.' This range is best for smaller tanks, such as 45cm tanks.

M400 Pro
Power: 25W
Spectrum: RGB+UV
LED Quantity: 30+10
Output Voltage: 36V 1A
Voltage: AC100-240V
Luminous Flux: 1375lm

M450 Pro
Power: 30W
Spectrum: RGB+UV
LED Quantity: 30+10
Output Voltage: 36V 1A
Voltage: AC100-240V
Luminous Flux: 1650lm

L series
The L series lights likely mean "Large", having a decently thick width. These are best for tanks that are decently long, such as the 60cm, 90cm, and 120cm. These do best in the 60-90cm tanks, as they are wide enough to cover most of these tank. More than 60cm in width, we would recommend going with a P series or raising this light more.

L600 Pro
Power: 65W
Spectrum: RGB+UV
LED Quantity: 70+10
Output Voltage: 36V 2.5A
Voltage: AC100-240V
Luminous Flux: 3900lm

L900 Pro
Power: 100W
Spectrum: RGB+UV
LED Quantity: 100+10
Output Voltage: 36V 3A
Voltage: AC100-240V
Luminous Flux: 6000lm

L1200 Pro
Power: 130W
Spectrum: RGB+UV
LED Quantity: 140+20
Output Voltage: 36V 4A
Voltage: AC100-240V
Luminous Flux: 7800lm

P series
The P series, or Pandora series, is one of the best series in the WEEK AQUA lineup, and is the best standard lights in their series. These lights are very wide, which help light every single part of the tank, so no area is left out. This is especially good for wider tanks. There are only 3 variants in this series.

P600 Pro
Power: 90W
Spectrum: RGB+UV
LED Quantity: 100+10
Output Voltage: 36V 3A
Voltage: AC100-240V
Luminous Flux: 5400lm

P900 Pro
Power: 135W
Spectrum: RGB+UV
LED Quantity: 150+20
Output Voltage: 36V 4A
Voltage: AC100-240V
Luminous Flux: 8100lm

P1200 Pro
Power: 180W
Spectrum: RGB+UV
LED Quantity: 200+20
Output Voltage: 36V 5.5A
Voltage: AC100-240V
Luminous Flux: 10,800lm

Z series
The Z series is a special series, as it is the second most powerful light, coming right behind the A430s. These lights are smaller than usual, thus they are not placed in the regular lineup here. However, as shown in the product photo, just three may be used to light a 120cm tank. They are very powerful and if used correctly, they are 100% worth the price.

Z400 Pro
Power: 90W
Spectrum: RGB+UV
LED Quantity: 100+20
Output Voltage: 36V 3A
Voltage: AC100-240V
Luminous Flux: 5850lm

T90
The Week Aqua T90 is an aquarium light that closely resembles a shimmer-style light. In this form, one is able to hang the light above the aquarium. They perform very well.

Power: 90W
Spectrum: RGB+UV
LED Quantity: 100+10
Output Voltage: 36V 3A
Voltage: AC100-240V
Luminous Flux: 4950lm

Discussion

Now, although there seems to be very straightforward specifications here, it still may not be as simple to choose the correct light for an aquascape.
